Tasting Notes:
Bernies Blend is dedicated to Bernie, father of Warren the winemaker, whose help and encouragement have assisted greatly in the establishment of Pyramids Road Wines. This 3 barrel blend is a selection of some of the best barrels from our 2006 vintage. The combination of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre with a mix of new French and American oak gives a wine of remarkable character, just like its namesake. Intense dark berry flavours combine with subtle toasty oak to give a wine with real depth and complexity. While drinking well now it will reward those who can put it away for at least a few years. Serve with rib fillet rolled in herbs and porcini mushrooms.
